Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello took 1-2 in Qualifying as Brawn GP made a dream start to their maiden Formula One campaign at Australian Grand Prix today.
Jenson Button, thus takes his first pole position after three years after recording mixed results during three practice runs on Friday and Saturday. Button confirmed he would start the big show from the front of the grid at Albert Park with a fastest lap time of 1:26.202.
Sebastian Vettel took third on the grid for Red Bull Racing ahead of BMW’s Robert Kubica, Williams’ Nico Rosberg and Toyota’s Timo Glock.
Australia’s Red Bull driver Mark Webber will start from 10th place in the twilight season opener.
Meanwhile in a disappointing start to his title defence, world champion Lewis Hamilton will start from well back on the grid after failing to make the final session of qualifying.
Former world champion Fernando Alonso also failed to make the final stage and will start from 12th.

Barrichello & Button are looking to Dominate early on, till Lewis / Alonso decides to up their game. It seems hard for them to come in a Pole Position. ofcourse keeping in mind they might take advantage of fuel strategy
