Stefano Domenicali reckons Michael Schumacher's return at the Valencia GP will be an added incentive for Ferrari to up their game.
On Wednesday, Ferrari announced that the German, the most successful driver ever in Formula One history, would replace Felipe Massa while the Brazilian recovers from his Hungarian accident.
The decision to race Schumacher has been largely welcomed by the
F1 community, past and present, who believe his brief comeback will go a long way towards igniting interest in the upcoming European GP.
But for Ferrari, Schumacher's return to the ****pit is a lot more personal.
"When Luca (di Montezemolo) asked Michael if he wanted to give us a hand, I understood from looking in his eyes, even before he replied, how strong are the links between Michael and the Scuderia," said the Ferrari team boss.
"I didn't have the slightest doubt about his availability and his enthusiasm in our discussions, and it would be a further stimulus for everyone to do well.
"It's a piece of positive news, which can be added to all the other positive updates coming from Budapest regarding Felipe's improvement."
