More surgery for Webber
Formula One's newest race winner, Mark Webber, will undergo further surgery on his right leg in the wake of next weekend's Hungarian GP.
The Australian broken his leg is a cycling accident back in November and had to have a titanium rod and two locking screws inserted to correct the break.
But with the leg having healed, Webber will now undergo further surgery to remove the screws.
"The titanium rod is coming out only after the season and then the bump (on his lower leg) will disappear," he told the Bild.
The Red Bull racer, who will have several weeks to recover before the European GP on August 23rd, also conceded that he was nowhere near full fitness when the Championship started in March.
"I think I was kidding myself a bit," Webber said. "It is absolutely clear that the leg was a long way from healed and it was still broken. It was just the metal holding it in place so it has come a long way since then."
