Default Redbull Offers New Deal for Webber

Red Bull are keen to start talks with Mark Webber that will see F1's newest race winner remain on their payroll for 2010.

Webber's current deal with Red Bull expires at the end of this year, leaving the Australian open to other offers.

However, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner to keen to ensure that the German GP winner continues what is proving to be a formidable partnership between himself and Sebastian Vettel.

"Mark is doing a great job and he is a great team player," Horner told Autosport.

"We have got a very good balance in the team and we will get around to talking to him about his contract shortly, but he is a very valued member of the team."

The one issue, though, that could cause problems is the duration of the contract.

Red Bull are believed to want to give the Australia a short-term deal while Webber reportedly wants one that will have him see out days in Formula One with Red Bull.
