The Canadian GP is set to make a return to Formula One next season after reportedly agreeing a reduced fee with Bernie Ecclestone.
The Canadian GP lost its pace on the 2009 calendar as a result of a financial dispute with Ecclestone's Formula One Management company.
However, talks almost immediately opened in a bid to get the popular Montreal race reinstated.
As such Canada did appear on the provisional calendar, although it was subject to a deal being concluded with FOM, which La Presse claims has been done.
The Montreal newspaper added that confirmation of the contract is now just a "a formality" after Ecclestone agreed to a five-year deal that will cost $75 million CAN, $20m less than the F1 supremo's initial price.
The 2010 Canadian GP has been provisionally scheduled for 13 June.
