Bernie: Renault won't walk away
Quote:
Bernie Ecclestone is adamant that Renault will remain in F1 despite reports claiming the F1 team is on the verge of being sold to Prodrive.
Renault's future in Formula One is on the line after the French carmaker's executive committee met in Paris on Thursday to discuss the possible sale of a majority stake in the team to Prodrive boss David Richards or businessman Gerard Lopez,.
Renault, though, have yet to release any statement on the matter, however, Ecclestone is certain they will be in F1 next season.
"We've got to get the whole Renault thing sorted out," he told The Times. "We are in the middle of doing it now.
"I feel confident that we'll see Renault next year in Formula One under the name Renault and the year after and the year after that."
