Yamaha fear losing Rossi to Ferrari

Yamaha MotoGP team boss Davide Brivio admits he's "worried" that Valentino Rossi's lap times during his Barcelona test could inspire the Italian to leave MotoGP.

This past week, Rossi spent two days testing an F2008 at the Barcelona circuit where the MotoGP Champ put in some impressive times. The Italian's 1:21.900 was just 0.087s short of the pole position set by Kimi Raikkonen at the 2008 Spaniash GP.

And although Rossi stated after the team that he has yet to decide his long-term future, Brivio fears it could be in Formula One.

"I have to be worried about these excellent times because Valentino really could get the desire to change sport," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Brivio added that the "greatest danger" Yamaha now face with regards to Rossi, is not that he'll leave for rivals Ducati, it's that he'll leave for "Ferrari."
