Lotus fired up ahead of shakedown
Having fired up the engine of their new F1 car, Lotus technical boss Mike Gascoyne admits there's still work to be done ahead of Tuesday's shakedown.
One of four newcomers to the 2010 Formula One grid, Lotus F1 Racing are one of the better prepared as the team aims to be the best of the newbies. The team fired up the Cosworth V8 engine that will power their 2010 challenger in Hingham, Norfolk, although the BBC reports there were some 'minor technical delays.' The next step in their preparations for the upcoming season is the shakedown of their new car, which is set to take place on Tuesday. "We'll be shaking the car down on Tuesday, just getting this fire-up is one thing, there's still a lot of parts to go on there," Gascoyne told BBC Radio Norfolk.
