Stefan GP urge FIA to consider 14th team
Quote:
Stefan Grand Prix have urged the FIA to open the 2010 grid up to a 14th team as they continue their quest to enter Formula One.
Despite not having entry into this year's Championship, Stefan GP have already entered an agreement with former F1 team Toyota that allows them to run what would have been the Japanese manufacturer's 2010 car.
Added to that, the Serbian outfit has also sent two containers of equipment to Bahrain just in case one of the F1 newcomers fall by the wayside before the season even gets underway.
However, should that not happen, Stefan GP owner Zoran Stefanovic has urged the FIA to increase the grid size to 28 cars, which would at least allow him to apply for a place in the Championship.
Stefanovic told The Sun: "We think this is the best way to solve the problem.
"We are absolutely aware that the system of granting entries is through the FIA. So we are not expecting someone to give us an entry immediately."
