Samir Gaur, managing director of India's JPSK Sports Pvt Ltd., a company backed by Jaiprakash Associates , has said that the work for the Indian F1 grand prix track is on course and should see its completion by 2011 for the India race that year.
Quote:
"The design stage is in progress and regarding construction, the investigations of the site have also started," he said. Considering they haven't even decided the location of the site, that sure is an ambition target

Way too over-ambitious. Seeing the progress made for the Commonwealth games in 2010, I doubt if the track will even exist on paper by this time next year.

Thread title should have said "is on track" instead of "on course"
woulda been a nice pun.

lol i doubt one match performance will influence Mallaya's long term vision. F1 is infact more in sync with Mallaya and his company as an upper crest boozing sport
![]() He didn't put in so much of cash into F1 just for the heck of it and to let it stagnate. |

race is planned for year 2011 and loaction of track is not even set. that's pathetic.
If they really what to bring F1 to India, they must work on it rapidly. I don't think an F1 track will be ready to race, before testing. viewing progress..........i see race in 2011 not possible in India. |
