Default Button: Schumacher hasn't lost it

Michael Schumacher be warned! No one on the grid plans to give him an inch this year, according to Jenson Button.

With the seven-times World Champion returning to F1 this year with Mercedes GP following a three-year absence, just about everyone wants to get the better of him and it's no different for Button.

"No one's going to give him an inch," Button The Mirror. "It's great to be racing him on an even basis. We have had good races in the past - but then his Ferrari was one second a lap faster all season.

"He will be a main competitor this year. He's with a good team, they've won the Championship, they know what to do. Lewis, I know, is pretty excited about racing Schumacher.

"He will still be the old Schumacher, he hasn't lost it, he wouldn't have come back unless he wants it again and his speed hasn't changed."

In a separate interview with Germany's Welt am Sonntag, reigning World Champion Button revealed that he left Mercedes (formerly Brawn) for McLaren as he would not have been as motivated this year.

"I do not think I would have been as motivated with Mercedes," he said.
