Default Buemi targets Budapest points

Sebastien Buemi reckons Toro Rosso could return to the points at next weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Despite some signs of promise and plenty of great racing, Buemi has failed to finish in the top eight since the third race of the season in China.

However, the Swiss driver is not entire responsible for that as Toro Rosso have lagged behind their rivals when it comes to introducing new upgrades for their 2009 challenger.

The team, though, is set to amend that in Budapest when Buemi and his team-mate will have a vastly updated package.

"Formula One is a very fast changing world. What worked at one race will not automatically be good for the next," Buemi told the official F1 website.

"Since the last time I scored - that was in China - I would say that there was a realistic chance in Monaco, after I qualified 11th, but I didn't use it.

"Then we haven't had many new parts on the car lately and everybody knows how important it is to constantly upgrade.

"We were just lacking pace, and as long as you are short of upgrades, you struggle to be faster. But from Budapest on I expect that we recover the form we had.

"We're expecting the double diffuser, a new nose - in fact almost half the car will be new. We are looking for a big step forward."

As for the fact that he'll have a new team-mate in Hungary after Toro Rosso fired Sebastien Bourdais earlier this week, Buemi says that makes no difference to how he'll handle the race weekend.

"I try to concentrate on myself. The rest is not important for me and in the end it is a team management decision."
