It'll definitely be a disaster if there is a Spanish GP without Alonso.

Both Vettel and the RBR knew that the car had sustained severe damage, yet all they received as punishment was a 50K $ fine and Vettel starting 10 places behind in the next race. This is very less punishment compared to suspending a team from racing entirely.
See they can argue that it was ok.ie Vettels wheel was fine and something happened on the way..etc..lots of ways to dodge. even tho the obvious might be different.. Here the mistake was solely on Renault as the tyre was wobbling in the pitlane itself. and they still let him go. They should have stopped him. It shows negligence on the part of Renault. Not to mention Massa's accident. Next the Stewards vary from race to race and place to place.. it was renaults luck that they got an ass of a steward.

Seems like this penalty was purely because of the surtees and massa incidents where drivers got seriously injured (surtees fatally) from debris from other cars within the space of a week. According to Martin Brundle , a week ago there would have been no penalty for Renault but after these incidents they are taking parts flying off very seriously

Very true. The race stewards and their decisions vary widely from race to race and in some cases, within the same race also.

That was a crash and it was not a mistake of any crew in the pit,,,its an racing incident which Sebo wanted to finish the race in 3 wheels and faced the music...Here the prob is that knowingly they let Fernando go with the wheel that s fixed improper
