Sutil fined for Heidfeld crash
Adrian Sutil was fined US $20,000 and reprimanded by the stewards after retiring from the Singapore Grand Prix. When trying to rejoin after a spin, the Force India driver drove into BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld.
"I didn't see him coming as I was on the move already and couldn't react to it, but I'm sorry for it. It was a race incident," said the German. Countryman Heidfeld was scathing when he spoke initially with reporters, calling the move "stupid", and when asked what the FIA's response should be, suggested that the governing body should supply Sutil with a brain. It was clearly Adrian Sutil's fault," he said. "He had spun backwards and then just drove back onto the track and straight into my car. That's something you just can't do." that was a really stupid move. Adrian Sutil really needs to get his game up. He's got the talent.. he just needs to be a little more cautious!
