So we haven't had 75% of the race so everyone will get half points if its stopped now.

Alonso was just now on BBC and when asked should the race be carried on, he replied "I Hope Not, The track is too dangerous".

There is some break in the cloud cover but its also getting late.

Ok.. so as of now:
If we don't restart, positions will be taken from the penultimate lap, meaning the one-two-three will be Button, Glock, Heidfeld. Behind them: Trulli, Barrichello, Hamilton, Rosberg, Webber.
Mark Webber will receive a mere half a point for eighth position, the amount by which Alain Prost lost the world championship in 1984. The Monaco Grand Prix was stopped at half-distance while the Frenchman was leading.

Some interesting facts.. Kimi Raikkonen's last lap was 11 minutes! And everyone except Button and Glock are a lap down.
Looks like the "race" is gonna continue now.

From BBC Sports: "All the drivers from third downwards will start behind the safety car to unlap themselves before Jenson Button and Timo Glock join."

Looks like the race will end as such after all.. That would mean half points to the top eight.

Button - 5
Heidfeld - 4
Glock - 3
Trulli - 2.5
Barrichello - 2
Webber -1.5
Hamilton - 1
Rosberg - 0.5

Both the Brawns and the Toyotas finish within points.. Ferrari yet again lose out.. Kimi must be content with his ice-cream..

lol...good for the guys who are still far behind in the championship table.
button now has 15 points frm his 2 races in place of 20

it was a terrible race...not worth anyones time..i'm glad that u missed it hpindia

thank god i missed the race due to star sports suddenly taken off air by cablewallah.

its time now to activate sports pack on airtel digital tv in my bedroom.
