Thumbs up F1 2009 Race 2 Sepang Malaysia

The race is about to start in lass than 2 hours from now.
What are your predictions for the race?? Who's gonna win?
Will we witness the 1st rainy race of 2009 season?

I think it will be a walk in the park for Button if it doesn't rain.
so everybody start praying for rain and then we'll see

Trulli & Glock have a fair chance this time. If they can keep up with Brawn's pace, they will surprise quite a few ppl, including myself

Post-qualifying car weights:

1 - Jenson Button / Brawn = 660kg
2 - Jarno Trulli / Toyota = 656.5kg
3 - Timo Glock / Toyota 656.5kg
4 - Nico Rosberg / Williams = 656kg
5 - Mark Webber / Red Bull = 656kg
6 - Robert Kubica / BMW = 663kg
7 - Kimi Räikkönen / Ferrari = 662.5kg
8 - Rubens Barrichello / Brawn = 664.5kg
9 - Fernando Alonso / Renault = 680.5kg
10 - Nick Heidfeld / BMW = 692kg
11 - Kazuki Nakajima / Williams = 683.4kg
12 - Lewis Hamilton / McLaren = 688kg
13 - Sebastian Vettel / Red Bull = 647kg
14 - Heikki Kovalainen / McLaren = 688.9kg
15 - Sébastien Bourdais / Toro Rosso = 670.5kg
16 - Felipe Massa / Ferrari = 689.5kg
17 - Nelson Piquet / Renault = 681.9kg
18 - Giancarlo Fisichella / Force India = 680.5kg
19 - Adrian Sutil / Force India = 655.5kg
20 - Sébastien Buemi / Toro Rosso = 686.5kg

I'm sure many of these cars would be looking for a 2 stop strategy. At least Heidfeld and others starting heavier would look to. Surprising thing is that Button is heavier among the top 5. So he must be looking to settle for a pit stop a few laps later than the rest of the top 5, which would in turn mean more time to extend his lead over the others.. ;) Assuming all goes well at the start of the race..

I'm looking forward to cars using KERS more effectively this time around. The long straight at sepang will work to their advantage. Particularly Kimi since he's starting 7th and can gain a few places easily thru a good start.

^^ ANy idea about some live streaming site which needs low bandwidth..! Unfortunately, I'd be missing today's race on the TV..

I feel Webber in the RBR has a very good chance of finishing in the podium..

Weather update:

Quote:
The weather here has returned to its usual heat and humidity, with an ambient temperature high of 32 degrees Celsius expected. However, serious concerns remain about the likelihood of the same sort of torrential rain we saw around 1800 hours on Saturday, which would mean it arriving two-thirds through the race's scheduled distance.
That could change the entire course of the race..

Watching the BBC coverage. They are doing some nice graphic coverage
Basically with the fuel loads accounted for and taking the speeds into account, the Brawn's(Button) are supposedly going to run away at the start With Toyota's some distance behind.

An update on Brawn.
They have never done any testing on intermediate or wet tires. So if it rains, the Brawns are on an unknown territory.
