Ferrari tech director Aldo Costa reckons it's only a matter of time before the diffuser war of last year is once again in full swing.
The start of last year's Championship was marred when some of the F1 teams protested the double-decker diffuser adopted by the likes of Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams. However, the design was declared legal, sparking a race against time for those who had not interpreted the rules as such to include the double-decker diffuser on their cars. This year all the teams have unveiled their new cars with the design incorporated, however, given the greys areas in the rule book, Costa fears F1 is in for another round of protests. "The FIA is keeping things in check and is answering every team with regards to the doubts and the realisation of the double diffuser," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Unfortunately, this rule book is open to many interpretations." 'Another diffuser war is brewing' - Planet-F1 News from planet-f1.com |
