FIA raises minimum weight for 2010
The minimum car-plus-driver weight in Formula One next year will increase.
The FIA has apparently responded to calls to raise the limit, following complaints that the sport is becoming a ‘jockey's competition’ due to the addition of the relatively heavy KERS packages. Most drivers endeavoured to shed kilograms over the winter period, as they mused the addition of up to 40kg in the form of the new energy re-use technology, but no corresponding increase in the minimum weight of 605kg. This is actually good if they plan on keeping KERS from the next season. But if Williams design comes through.. a lot of teams should follow suit. They have almost a 50% decrease in the total weight by removing the battery and putting in a flywheel in the car.

lol.. they want a ban. its not been decided yet. if you notice the williams Design is far superior than most teams! SO it could be a step ahead in the future.
