Force India is all set to give its 2009 Formula One car its track debut next Sunday, the team has announced. In a media advisory, the Vijay Mallya owned team informed that the Mercedes powered VJM02 is scheduled to run for the first time at the Jerez circuit in Spain.

Norbert Haug of Mercedes has expressed his desire to see a German F1 driver in a Mercedes-powered cockpit. The German marque's competition chief in collaboration with McLaren, told Bild newspaper that their desire and goal is to see a top German driver in a McLaren Mercedes in three to four years.
